Rescue Appletreewick

12th Aug 2020

Duration : 1hrs 54min

Total Attendance Time : 15hr 12 mins

The team was mobilised to a tropical Appletreewick to assist Yorkshire Ambulance Service in treating a lady who had slipped and fallen in the river. Team members provided pain relief to the female casualty, who had a suspected lower leg fracture. They then applied a vacuum splint and after a tricky manoeuvre up the steep banking, stretchered her to the waiting (thankfully air cooled) ambulance using a specialist stretcher. Thank you to the passing fire fighter who helped with the evacuation. We wish the lady a speedy recovery.
