The team were called today to assist the Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) with an injured walker in Grassington. The casualty, whilst out for a summers walk on the banks of the River Wharfe, slipped and suffered an injury, possible fracture, to the lower left leg. The team secured the injured leg in a vacuum splint and assisted the casualty on to the team stretcher, then a short walk to the waiting road ambulance.
