The Team was nearing the end of our main fundraising event of the year UWFRA - The Wharfedale Three Peaks Challenge when we received a call from the Yorkshire Ambulance Service to assist them with a lady who had injured her ankle near Yarnbury. Whilst the leaders were gathering more information we sent two vehicles to the scene. On our arrival the lady was given pain relief and her leg splinted before she was driven back to our base in Grassington to keep her warm whilst we waited for the ambulance to arrive. Once the ambulance arrived the casualty was handed to their care and we headed back to Kettlewell to pack everything up.
