Casualty White Wells Ilkley

We were requested by Yorkshire Ambulance Service Incident Desk to assist with a casualty who had suffered a fall near White Wells, Ilkley.

With the location on steep terrain, there were concerns about safe access and evacuation, particularly for the incoming Yorkshire Air Ambulance who were already in attendance but assessing landing options.

Our first team members arrived on scene and coordinated with both the air ambulance and ambulance crews. Due to the challenging access, vehicles were unable to reach the casualty directly. Working together, teams carried the patient a short distance across difficult ground using a scoop stretcher to reach the waiting ambulance.

A great example of multi-agency teamwork ensuring the casualty received prompt and safe care despite difficult conditions.
