Winter Skills Training in Patterdale ❄️

This weekend, the team at Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association spent three days honing our winter skills across the stunning surrounding fells of Patterdale. Guided by our experienced Directing Staff, members practiced essential techniques on challenging ridges, icy slopes, and open winter terrain.

The training was tough but rewarding, providing a fantastic opportunity to refine navigation, rope work, and rescue skills in real winter conditions. A huge thank you to all members who got involved – your commitment, teamwork, and effort ensure our teams are ready and confident when the call comes.
