In addition to being on-call 24/7, 365 days a year — plus all the hours our volunteers put into training and fundraising — we sometimes get involved in restoration work around dangerous pothole entrances in our area.

Recently, cavers identified damaged fencing at the Pasture Gill Pot entrance shaft above Yockenthwaite, which posed a real risk of sheep falling in.
