The team was called out by the Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) to assist a 60-year-old female mountain biker who had fallen while riding near Hebden Gill.
Our team was first on scene and provided initial casualty care for the woman, who had sustained a suspected broken leg and facial injuries. Once the Yorkshire Ambulance Service arrived, we handed over medical care and then assisted the crew in stretchering the casualty to the waiting ambulance.
This incident highlights the importance of teamwork and the close cooperation between volunteer mountain rescue teams and emergency services.
We wish the casualty a full and speedy recovery, and we thank everyone involved for their swift and professional response.
