UWFRA Team Members Complete First Aid Training with Dales Training
This weekend nine Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association (UWFRA) team members took part in a comprehensive first aid training course delivered by Sean from Dales Training.
Over the two days, our team members were put through their paces with practical, scenario-based exercises designed to test their decision-making and hands-on skills in challenging rescue environments. We’re delighted to share that all nine participants passed with flying colours.
This achievement brings the team in line with Tier 2 of the Mountain Rescue England and Wales (MREW) framework, which focuses on Outdoor and Remote Rescue First Aid qualifications. Tier 2 training builds upon immediate first aid and Basic Life Support to equip rescuers with the knowledge and skills needed to provide effective casualty care in remote and challenging environments
We would like to give a huge thank you to Sean for his time, professionalism, and engaging teaching. The course was challenging but thoroughly enjoyable, and every team member left with increased confidence in their ability to deliver high-quality care in the field.
We can’t recommend Dales Training highly enough. Sean’s experience and delivery style made the course both informative and enjoyable, perfectly tailored to the unique demands of mountain rescue work.
Thanks again to Sean, and congratulations to our team members for their commitment to keeping their skills sharp and upholding the highest standards of casualty care.
