UWFRA at the Nidderdale Show – What a Day!
What a brilliant day it’s been at the Nidderdale Show for the Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association! We had a fantastic time meeting so many of you, chatting about what we do, and showing the friendly faces behind our team.
About the Show
The Nidderdale Show (or Pateley Show as many know it) is one of Yorkshire’s favourite agricultural events, drawing thousands of visitors to Bewerley Park in Pateley Bridge every September. It’s a true end-of-season celebration, packed with livestock competitions, home produce, crafts, displays, and plenty of family fun.
This year’s show was no different – a great mix of tradition, entertainment, and community spirit.
Why We Were There
Events like the Nidderdale Show are so important for us at UWFRA. They give people the chance to:
- Ask questions about who we are and what we do.
- See the team in person – putting faces to the organisation.
- Understand our mission – providing free, volunteer-run cave and fell rescue across Wharfedale, Nidderdale, Littondale and Mid-Airedale.
It’s a brilliant way to connect with our community and share the story of our charity.
Thank You!
We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand today. Whether you had a chat, asked questions, or kindly made a donation – your support really does keep us going.
And of course, a massive thank you to our amazing UWFRA volunteers who gave their time to attend the show. Your effort, enthusiasm, and commitment are what makes our organisation so special.
Until Next Time
The Nidderdale Show has once again reminded us of the strength of community and the value of sharing what we do. We left the show buzzing with energy and gratitude – and already looking forward to the next opportunity to meet you all again.
Thank you for supporting UWFRA – together we keep our rescue service strong, ready, and always there when needed.
