The team was called out by the Yorkshire Ambulance Service to assist a 62 year old lady who had slipped on rocks, injuring their ankle, whilst walking on the path above Scar House Hubberholme.

We are grateful to the gentleman at Scar House who was able to provide a tarp to shelter the casualty from the heavy rain until we arrived.

Fortunately, we were able to drive a team landrover up the track to Scar House and park close to the casualty. The lady was assessed by a team medic before being given pain relief and their leg splinted. With the injury stabilised the casualty was driven back to their car at Buckden from where they were able to make their own way to hospital.
