Female fallen Sharp Haw

The team was called by the Yorkshire Ambulance Service to assist with a 53 year old lady reported as having fallen over a rock, sustaining a wrist injury and unable to get up.

The team casualty carer on scene provided pain relief and then applied an upper limb vacuum splint. It was decided that a stretcher evacuation would be wise as the lady was unsteady on her feet.

The casualty was then stretchered across the moor to the waiting road ambulance.
