Walker taken ill above Kettlewell

The team was called early evening by the ambulance service to assist a walker who had taken ill on the fell side above Kettlewell. The gentleman, nearing the end of a summer solstice walk with his son, collapsed and was drifting in and out of consciousness. The team arrived promptly and provided casualty care on scene until the ambulance crew arrived. Once stabilised the team stretchered him down to the road side and the waiting ambulance.
