Female fallen Ilkley Moor

The team was called on to assist Calder Valley Search & Rescue Team to help a lady who, on holiday in the area, had unfortunately fallen whilst walking on Ilkley moor. Suspecting a broken ankle (later confirmed) the lady managed, with the help of her partner, to get to the nearest sheltered area - the poetry seat at Gill Head. UWFRA were first on scene and splinted the injury and helped the lady on to the team stretcher. From there both teams worked seamlessly together to carry the lady back to her car at the Cow & Calf.
